It’s been a busy start to the year with Janice Maher and myself attending the 49th annual ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) Conference in Tampa at the beginning of February.
We were able to view first hand some of the new MASH products that have been developed and also network with our international distributers and suppliers. In terms of MASH, we were also able to attend various industry committee meetings to hear first hand of the new developments in this space. We had been made aware that the MASH transition date for wire rope safety barrier has been delayed in the USA for 12 months, and it is expected that the NZ Transport Agency will delay the New Zealand transition until Dec 31st 2020. We await confirmation so watch this space!
We are very pleased to introduce the ChekRite App and have it up and running for use with our checklists and installation instructions. If you wish to register speak to Nicky Young and she’ll work with you to get you operational. Having the ChekRite App also complements the new Lantra training courses for road operatives/installers, which should be launched later this year.
The Lantra meetings continue every month with good progress being made on the launch of courses and manuals for later this year. For the latest updates on Lantra click here.
We are also pleased to announce Jeff Berriman as our new Hire Business Development Manager. For enquiries re workzone safety and what can and can’t be used for the safety of your people on the side of the road contact Jeff. Click here for his contact details.
I would also like to reiterate our offer to you to book a free presentation by Voytek Wieczorek CPEng, Engineering and Technical Support Manager for CSP Pacific outlining the various Multiplate Culvert options available and their suitability in various situations. Voytek will travel to your premises and the sessions can be used as valuable ‘continuing professional development’ (CPD) hours. Let us help you to be well informed when specifying your next culvert.
