Firstly I’d like to welcome Nicky Young who has joined us to take on the new position of National Sales Manager, a role intended to support our sales people around the country and give our customers another point of contact within our business. Nicky comes to us with extensive experience in senior management roles and we welcome her to the CSP Pacific team.

Congratulations go to Victor D’Souza who has been appointed to the role of Production Planner. Victor has been with CSP Pacific for 14 years and I am very pleased we have been able to promote him to this role.

Later this year CSP Pacific will be the Gold sponsor of the 2018 NZ Bridges Summit run by Conferenz, and in association with the NZ Transit Agency. The Summit will be held on the 6th and 7th November and will bring together New Zealand’s bridge community to share the latest insights, updates, innovations and developments across the entire lifecycle of bridge structures. This year our Engineering and Technical Support Manager, Voytek Wieczorek, will be speaking at the Summit about the development of our Multiplate 100+ product which comes with a 100 year design life, and was developed in response to concerns about the durability of corrugated metal culverts. He will also discuss various options for the rehabilitation of culverts approaching the end of their service life and where CSP Pacific can assist.

In the July issue of Road Watch AustRoads* e newsletter a Scoping Study for a Location Referencing Model to Support the BIM Environment was featured. The webinar advised how Austroads are undertaking research into using a Primary Location Reference System, using location referencing models such as topological, geospatial and geometric, and promotes the transition into the BIM space. There are many advantages of this in terms of asset management for roading authorities, as it captures digital design data on the roading networks, in the form of BIM models, which will likely be the preferred method going forward. CSP Pacific has BIM families available for our products, on request. Please contact us for more information.

We are very fortunate to have access to the Austroads webinars. They are very useful tools.
