CSP Pacific's hire barriers create safe work zone for staff

Orewa Boulevard Stage 1

Orewa Boulevard Stage 1
With the Northern Gateway now open, Orewa's main street traffic volumes have dropped by an estimated 50%. This has now given the Rodney Council the opportunity to make the beach front a more recreational destination.

The aim is to eventually divert most of the traffic away from the beachfront road. Work has begun on narrowing the existing roadway, widening of the block paved footpaths and the construction of a stormwater discharge pipeline.

"With the use of CSP Pacific's TL-1 water filled and pedestrian hire barriers we have been able to create an isolated, safe work zone for our guys so they can get on with the job," said Jim Murdoch, North Harbour Traffic Manager for Fulton Hogan.

"With work continuing along most of the beach front road, the barriers will be in use until at least November this year," added Jim. "David Russell, Hire Manager from CSP Pacific is great to deal with.  We will be using their barriers on future projects for sure."
