NEW - Oclyte Tuff Coat™ - An exclusive revolutionary coating for galvanised steel structures.
CSP Pacific has undertaken extensive research in sourcing a protective coating system that will extend the service life of their galvanised poles and other structures, especially at and below ground level.
The micro-climates for many galvanised steel products (ie the use of weed sprays, corrosive/rough soils or damage from installation) often means that traditional galvanising at the base of the structure is just not enough to prevent the deterioration of the steel.
"We have looked at more than twenty coating systems from around the world to find a product we would be happy to use as a fail safe protective coating on our galvanised steel products," said Katalin Csikasz, Engineering and Pole Product Manager, CSP Pacific.
"After extensive testing and analysis we are very pleased to launch Oclyte Tuff Coat™, a 100% solids (ie solvent free) high build polyurethane elastomer coating, which is specifically engineered to add corrosion, abrasion and impact resistance to galvanised structures which will ultimately extend their life span," added Katalin.
Oclyte Tuff Coat™ is a two-part polyurethane polymer that is mixed at high temperatures in a specialised "mix in the head" spray gun. It is then spray applied on to the prepared substrate to a strict specification to achieve the required galvanised/coating bond. The coating is sprayed in a multi pass single coat application, to create the required film build, 5 times that of conventional epoxy. Oclyte Tuff Coat™ is touch dry in 2-3 minutes and cured to handle in 10-15 minutes,
CSP Pacific are so convinced that this product will revolutionise the service life of galvanised structures, that they are offering a 20 year system warranty. CSP Pacific has exclusive rights to this system for New Zealand and Australia.
