CSP Pacific supplies complete package for Ruby Bay Bypass

NZTA’s $30 million Ruby Bay Bypass project was completed in October last year, considerably earlier than scheduled. The new 10.7km bypass on SH60 is a more direct route between Motueka and Nelson and realigns SH60 inland away from the Mapua/Ruby Bay townships, resolving the issues caused by the road having multiple speed limits. The new highway improves efficiency and is safer and more reliable – and features a variety of products from CSP Pacific.

ArmorZone™ : TL-2 Water Filled Plastic Barrier

“To help distinguish between various barriers we have renamed the TL-2 Plastic Water Filled Barrier to ArmorZone™ which should make the barrier easier to identify for our customers,” said Sue Walker, Marketing and Export Manager for CSP Pacific.

ArmorZone™ is a TL-2 crash tested barrier made up of plastic units that, when joined together using a steel pin and filled with water, provides positive work zone barrier protection to temporary construction sites and other roadside activities. When ArmorZone™ is impacted with 820kg or 2,000kg vehicles at speeds of 70kph and angles up to 25 degrees, the impacting vehicle is stopped, re-directed or contained in a safe manner.
